XYOTEK.COM RETURN GUIDELINES

All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number, which can be obtained by contacting our Support department.  Please save all packaging and accessories for any item that is returned to Xyotek.com. All original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents and packaging must be returned with your item in order for Xyotek.com to process your RMA.  An item returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at Xyotek.com's discretion, unless otherwise required by law.  Products with specific refund and return policies and deadlines must be returned within the time periods specified for each item.  All items sold through Xyotek.com are subject to our Policy and Agreement.  Physically damaged items cannot be returned.

Standard Xyotek.com Return Policy

Products sold by Xyotek.com are covered by our Standard Return Policy, unless otherwise indicated. Merchandise under our Standard Return Policy may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund, or within one year of the original invoice date for a replacement. All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Many manufacturers offer additional factory coverage; you should contact the manufacturer of your item directly for information regarding eligibility and specific Terms and Conditions.

Limited 30-Day Xyotek.com Return Policy

Products that state "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 30 days only" must be returned to Xyotek.com within 30 days of the invoice date.  

  • Products in this category that are labeled as Non-Refundable (or similar labeling) may only be returned for a replacement.

Manufacturer's (End-User) Warranties

Xyotek.com does not offer any express warranties.  However, many of the products available through Xyotek.com are covered by Manufacturers' Warranties.  If a product is covered by a manufacturer's warranty, it will be stated on that product's web page.  Manufacturers' warranties can also be obtained for free by contacting our Support department.  Please note that products in this category are non-refundable unless otherwise indicated.  

Products that state "This item can be returned to the product manufacturer only" must be returned directly to the product manufacturer for repair or replacement, unless otherwise required by law.  For these items, the warranty policy from the product manufacturer explicitly requires that any returns, repairs etc. be requested and processed directly by the consumer (or "end-user") of the item.  More specific Xyotek.com return policies are designated for the item categories listed below.
  

XYOTEK.COM RETURN POLICY FOR MANUFACTURER (END-USER) WARRANTY ITEMS:

Notebook and Tablet PCs

·         Notebook/Tablet PCs are not returnable to Xyotek.com. 

Consumable Items

·         Consumable items such as Printer Ink and Toner Cartridges, CD/DVD Media, Paper Products etc. may only be returned if the product is unopened. 

Software

  • Retail Boxed software may only be returned for refund within 30 days of the invoice date if the packaging is unopened and factory sealed. Opened retail boxed software can only be returned for replacement if it is defective or damaged.  You may exchange defective software for an identical replacement by contacting Xyotek.com Customer Service and acquiring an RMA number.  No software returns will be accepted after 30 days.  All OEM software including Operating Systems is non-refundable once purchased and delivered.  OEM versions are intended for system builders only and cannot be transferred to another PC once it is installed. Purchasers of this software are required to comply with the terms of the System Builder License, including responsibility for providing all end-user support.  Xyotek.com is not responsible for system/software incompatibility, and incompatibility issues do not qualify software as damaged or defective. Customers are encouraged to contact the respective software publisher for answers to technical questions, such as minimum system requirements, prior to purchase.

Manufacturer-Recertified and Open-Box Items

Xyotek.com often sells items that are listed as "manufacturer recertified" or "open-box."  Because these items are sold at greatly reduced prices, they bear a limited 15-day refund-only return policy through Xyotek.com.  Xyotek.com cannot provide replacement service for these items, as their stock is limited.  The entire risk as to the quality and performance of these items is with the buyer.  These items have been tested for functionality, but may have superficial physical defects including (but not limited to) scratches, dings or dents.  Should these items prove defective following their purchase, the buyer (not the manufacturer, distributor, or Xyotek.com) assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing or repairs, unless otherwise required by law.  These items are not covered by our 30-day satisfaction guarantee. 


ADDITIONAL RMA TERMS

Physical Damage Policy

Physically damaged items cannot be returned to Xyotek.com.

Improper installation of CPU fans and/or improper clocking may cause CPUs to chip. CPUs that are chipped, burnt or have bent/broken pins are considered physically damaged and cannot be returned for refund or replacement. Physical damage includes (but is not limited to) improper handling and any other type of damage sustained by irregular use.

Xyotek.com encounters bent pins regularly when inspecting physically damaged CPUs. Forcing a processor into position will not solve an installation problem and may void your Xyotek.com return policy. 

If you return any physically damaged item to Xyotek.com, the item will be returned to you at your expense.

LCD Dead-Pixel Policy

Xyotek.com sells many products such as Notebooks and Monitors that feature LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screens.  Xyotek.com adheres to the dead-pixel policy that is observed by the majority of our manufacturers.  In order to declare any product with an LCD screen "defective" and eligible for replacement or refund through any applicable Xyotek.com return policy, there must be a minimum of 7 (seven) dead LCD pixels.

Rebates/UPC Codes

Products offering mail-in rebates are not returnable to Xyotek.com once the rebates have been filed. Be sure that the product is functional and that you intend to keep the product before sending in  for your rebate. Products missing UPC codes or serial numbers from the box are NOT returnable, are non-refundable, and will be rejected.  Only the product manufacturer can replace any defective item missing the UPC code.

Refurbished Products

Xyotek.com offers a 15-day refund-only return policy for all refurbished merchandise.  Remember if you purchase a Refurbished product you will receive an OEM BAREBONE item, meaning you will only receive the item itself.  Accessories are NOT INCLUDED with Refurbished products, even if the missing accessory is required for the item to function properly.

Out-of-Stock (Back-Order) Items

Sometimes items are returned to Xyotek.com after the product has been discontinued.  If Xyotek no longer carries an item that is sent in for replacement, or if that item is simply out of stock, the item will be sent to our Back-Order RMA Department.  You will be notified via email with two options: either Xyotek.com can send you a comparable replacement item, or a refund of the current market value of the product will be issued.  A current-market-value refund may not exceed the original invoice price.  If the item is returned within 30 days of the original invoice date, a full refund will be issued.  

Services or "labor" purchased is non-refundable.

U.S. Shipping Information
 

To find out when you will receive an item, you need to consider the availability of the item you ordered and the shipping option you selected. Here's the equation we use:

(Availability) + (Shipping Time) = Total Delivery Time

For example, if we have the item in stock and you select Standard Shipping, your shipping time will be 3 to 7 business days, depending on where you live. This means your total delivery time will be 1 day (availability) + 3 to 7 days (shipping time). So you can expect to receive this item at your front door 4 to 8 days after you place your order.
